WORLD EARTH DAY
Earth4All---
On World Earth Day, themed "Earth4All," Yongbao EP joins the global call to action, highlighting urgent environmental threats and underscoring its corporate mission to build a sustainable future. This year's theme draws focus to the shared responsibility of protecting our planet, which faces critical challenges.
Climate change remains one of the planet's most pressing challenges. According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), global warming continues unabated, making extreme weather events—including floods, droughts, and heatwaves—more frequent and severe.
Air pollution persists as a dominant environmental health risk, particularly in urban areas. Data from the WHO Air Quality Guidelines indicate that 99% of the global population breathes air exceeding the organization's safe pollutant limits.
Water scarcity is intensifying. The UN World Water Development Report 2022 revealed that global water use has surged sixfold over the past century. Driven by population growth and economic development, a 40% global water shortfall is projected by 2030.
Biodiversity loss has reached a crisis point. The UNEP's Global Environment Outlook 6 (GEO-6) reports that over one million species are now threatened with extinction, with the current rate of loss being 1,000 times higher than the historical average.
Improper waste management poses a critical threat to human health and the environment. The GEO-6 assessment identifies pollution as a leading global health risk, contributing to an estimated nine million premature deaths annually, with risks from electronic and plastic waste being particularly acute.
Guarding this 'Earth for All' aligns with Yongbao’s core purpose. Yongbao is committed to green development and supporting the creation of zero-waste cities through precise, science-based pollution control. The company specializes in treating solid waste and emerging pollutants, turning into valuable resources and closing the material loop.
By advancing circular economy principles and reducing carbon emissions, Yongbao aims to contribute to the vision that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
