Yongbao EP held a focused desktop exercise at its southern plant on August 31, 2023, to evaluate and strengthen its emergency evacuation procedures. The session placed particular emphasis on ensuring that all exit routes and access corridors remain fully unobstructed. Leaders from the Changzhou Economic Development District Environmental Protection Bureau attended as observers.
The exercise involved staff from production, warehousing, facilities, and logistics departments. Facilitated by Safety Manager Qin, participants worked through a detailed scenario simulating a full workshop evacuation. The simulation included a review of evacuation floor plans, safety protocols, and the specific coordination roles of each response team.
"The core value of these exercises is their ability to pressure-test our plans and sharpen our team's instinctive response," said General Manager Xie following the session. "This practical preparedness is fundamental to protecting our employees and ensuring operational continuity.
In direct response to insights gained from the exercise, Yongbao EP will initiate a comprehensive facility inspection campaign throughout September. This initiative will focus on verifying that all fire access lanes, stairwells, and designated safety exits are clear, compliant, and immediately usable.
An official with the Environmental Protection Bureau highlighted the importance of bridging planning with practice. "Engaging department heads in this manner demonstrates that safety is integrated into daily operations, not just documented in manuals," the official noted. "The ultimate goal is to transform emergency protocols into reflexive, actionable knowledge for every employee."
